Our Story
Jason Butler’s journey in payroll started in high school, working in his mom’s bookkeeping business. While most teenagers dreaded learning about taxes, Jason discovered he actually enjoyed it, especially seeing how happy people were on payday when he hand-delivered their checks. He is still one of the few people who thinks the word FICA is fun.
Over the years, Jason explored different careers, including working as a veterinary technician and monitoring municipal water systems. But payroll kept calling him back. After earning his Master’s in Accounting and Financial Management, he returned to the industry full time.
Ponce Payroll Solutions was created in 2017. It is a true family business, with Jason’s wife, Amanda, joining in 2022 after a 15-year career as a paralegal.
Family Run & Community Focused
In 2021, Jason and Amanda moved their family from Georgia to Monument, Colorado, a place they fell in love with on a single visit. Along with their three kids and pets, they have planted roots in the community they now call home.
For them, Ponce Payroll Solutions is more than a business. It is a family legacy and a way to support other business owners in chasing their dreams.
Fun Facts About Us
Jason and Amanda are proud Georgia natives.
They are both Leos, which makes for lively team meetings.
In his spare time, Jason loves mountain biking, playing his guitar, and drawing.
While Amanda loves getting lost in a good book and volunteering with the kids’ school PTOs.
Outside of work, Jason communicates primarily in song lyrics, movie quotes, dad jokes and impersonations.
Amanda’s favorite season in CO is fall - Jason’s is spring.
They met on a matchmaking website back in 2009.
On a very rare date night, you might find them at a local brewery, a concert at Red Rocks, or maybe even soaking in a hot spring - just enjoying life in the wild west!
Their family includes three kids, including twins, and a few beloved pets.
